Mixing of valueable pumpkinseed oil is in Styria a serious crime, not a fun. This monday a 53 years old man had to answer the courts question because of professional fraud: The unskilled worker mixed salad oil and sold it expensive as "pure pumpkinseed oil".

"People should know what they add to their salad" - the judge denied the request of the defendant for exclusion of public. The Styrian has been previously convicted for 14 times. Again he was reproached because of adulteration of pumpkinseed oil. The prosecution: 25 percent pumpkinseed oil did he mix with 75 percent of other kind of of other vegetable oils, and this mix he sold then as "pure pumpkinseed oil" to at least 40 persons.

"Because I needed money", explains the Styrian."My wife was obliged to maintain me. Do you know what it means to aks: "Please, give me 50 Schillings'?" But now he got a job and he feels sorry: "I made a mistake."

The judge "mixed" the sentence: Eight months conditional.
